An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH after a warrant was executed at an address in Juniper Crescent in Spalding earlier today (Tuesday).

The major investigation follows the 24-year-old victim being left with a gunshot wound before being taken by a motorist to hospital where they remain.

Police were called about the incident at 9.20pm on Friday but have declined to disclose where in Spalding the shooting occurred.

Two of the nine people arrested (eight men and one woman) are from the Peterborough area.

One of the men - a 30-year-old - was arrested after armed police raided a home in Willonholt, Ravensthorpe, on Sunday morning.

He was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH, while a 26-year-old man also from the Peterborough area has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, although he has since been released on bail.

A 40-year-old woman from the Spalding area and a 22-year-old man from Boston, who were both arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have also been released on bail.

The other six people remain in custody.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 436 of February 28.

A 26-year-old man from the Peterborough area has been arrested on suspicion of:

A 30-year-old man from the Peterborough area has been arrested on suspicion of:
