Men arrested by armed police in Peterborough released without charge
Two men arrested by armed police officers in Lincoln Road, Peterborough yesterday (Monday) have been released without charge.
A 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were arrested after a member of the public reported seeing a firearm in a black Renault Megane at about 3.20pm in Cambridge Avenue, Millfield.
A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said the 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession class B drugs and on suspicion of a firearms offence, while the 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs.
The police spokesman said both men were released with no further action to be taken against them.
