Man used 'large rock' to break into Peterborough Lidl store
Police are appealing for information after a man used a rock to break into a Peterborough supermarket.
Cambridgeshire Police said the burglary happened at Lidl on Lincoln Road, Werrington, Peterborough, when ‘a large rock’ was used to smash the front doors and gain entry.
The front doors and a side window have been boarded up at the store – although it is open and operating as normal.
Police said the burglary is thought to have taken place between 1.45am and 2am on Sunday (1 March).

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson appealed for anyone with information to come forward, and said: “An investigation was launched and enquiries have been carried out, including checking the store’s CCTV, but the crime has now been filed pending any further information coming to light.
