Man stabbed in head during ‘confrontation’ in Peterborough

A man was stabbed in the head after apparently becoming involved in a confrontation in Peterborough.

The man was stabbed above the left ear in Tait Close, off Eastfield Road, earlier this afternoon.

Police were called to the incident at 3.35pm today.

A spokesman for the force said: “Ambulance attended but the victim refused medical treatment at the scene.”

The victim was said to have become involved in a confrontation with two other people.

An armed police unit attended the scene, but only because it was the closest unit available.

No arrests have been made.
