A man has been charged with assaulting an emergency service worker at Whittlesea Station.

The 39-year-old from Stowmarket will appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday).

He is also charged with possessing a bladed article in a public place.

The charges relate to an incident on Sunday.
