Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after armed police raid Peterborough home

Armed police raided a property in Peterborough this morning and arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police in Bringhurst this morning.

It follows an attack on a man in his early 20s at 11.30pm on Thursday March 16 in Burghley Road, Peterborough.

The victim suffered stab wounds and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital.

A pre-planned firearms warrant was executed in Bringhurst, Orton Goldhay, this morning, Wednesday March 29, in connection with the stabbing.

A 38-year-old man from Peterborough has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.

The victim has since made a full recovery from his injuries.
