An 18-year-old man from Orton Malborne is currently in custody on suspicion following reports of a stabbing in Elmfield Road, Dogsthorpe, at about 3.20pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
Armed police were called to the scene.
A Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman said: “A man in his 20s suffered serious injuries and is in a stable condition.”
