Steven Yaxley-Lennon, 33, better known as Tommy Robinson, is accused of assault by beating following an incident at the prison, in Saville Road, on July 16, last year when he was a serving prisoner. He has already pleaded not guilty to the charge.

During a preliminary hearing at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, Deputy District Judge Claire Evans ruled the alleged victim could give evidence via video link when the trial begins on April 14.
