Balaclava clad men escape with £400 cash during Fenland robbery

Three balaclava-clad robbers threatened three men with a crowbar and escaped with £400 in cash during an incident in March.

The robbery happened on Friday (February 25) between 8.30pm and 8.45pm when three men in balaclavas entered a property in Whittlesey Road.

One of the men was holding a crowbar and demanded the male victim and his two friends, who were inside decorating at the time, hand over any cash.

The victim, in his 30s, managed to push away the offender who was attempting to hit him with the crowbar while the two friends ran out of the property.

The offenders made off with about £400 cash and smashed the victim’s phone. They are all described as white and one was wearing a camouflage jacket.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious is asked to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
