Action taken to stop travellers returning
Temporary measures have been put in place to stop travellers using a site in Peterborough after bollards were removed.
The site, at Chisenhale, Orton Brimbles, had seen travellers arrive last week before eviction. Extra bollards and concrete blocks weighing one-and-a-half tonnes have been put in place to stop more travellers moving onto the land, until a permanent solution is found.
Peterborough City Council is also carrying out eviction proceedings against travelllers in Welland Road park.
