Drug dealer from Peterborough who spat at police in custody is jailed
A drug dealer who was spotted acting suspiciously by officers on patrol in Peterborough has been jailed.
Christian Grigore, 20, was with two women in Oxford Road as the officers drove by heading towards Lincoln Road, Millfield, on 30 July.
A spokesperson for Cambs Police said: “When Grigore spotted the officers, he started to walk away from the two women.
“The officers stopped, searched Grigore, and found 17 wraps of suspected class A drugs.

“He was arrested and a further search in custody revealed another nine wraps. Tests confirmed the wraps contained cocaine and heroin worth up to £260.
“Whilst in custody he also spat at a police officer.”
Grigore, of Clarence Road, Millfield, Peterborough, admitted possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine, as well as assault by beating an emergency worker.
On Wednesday, 10 December, at Peterborough Crown Court he was jailed for 18 months.
DC Katey Shaw said: “Class A drugs absolutely wreck lives by trapping people in addiction.
“This was a good spot by the officers on patrol who noticed Grigore was acting suspiciously and followed their instincts.
“Drug dealers prey on vulnerable people and we will continue to do all we can to bring them to justice.”
