Arsonist is jailed after setting fire to cars across Fenland
A man who set fire to numerous cars across Fenland has been jailed for more than a year.
Cambridgeshire police say Rolandas Fedorenko (25) torched a Nissan Juke in Furrowfields car park, Chatteris, in the early hours of April 1 last year.
Police say that Fedorenko set fire to the vehicle and left it to burn out but that it also damaged a nearby van and fence in the process.
A police spokesperson said: “Later in the year, Fedorenko began starting fires again.

“In a car park in Palmers Place, Wisbech, he set fire to a Mini Cooper on November 1, damaging the car and a nearby van, and then on November 25, behind Market Place, in Wisbech, he set fire to a Mini Cooper.
“The fire did not spread in the second attack and the damage was minor. He was arrested a few hours after this offence.”
Fedorenko, of Waterlees Road, Wisbech, admitted the six counts of arson and was jailed for 14 months at Cambridge Crown Court on July 10.
Afterwards, Detective Sergeant Leeza McCormick said: “The victims of these fires had valuable possessions destroyed and were left without their normal means of transport.
“It is also fortunate the fires did not spread to any nearby buildings and put people at risk.”
