The life-saving equipment, which gives a high energy electric shock to the heart of someone who is in cardiac arrest, was spotted missing on Friday at the Pyramid Centre in Bretton.

A representative for the St John Ambulance said it had contacted the East of England Ambulance and was told the defibrillator had not been used. She said the team are now waiting for CCTV footage to see if it had been stolen or used in an emergency.
