While not all shops re-opened, the car parks were full for the first time since the lockdown began. People arriving in the city centre by public transport had to wear face coverings to prevent the further spread of coronavirus.

Takeaway coffee was popular with shoppers - but restaurants and bars remained shut to people dining and drinking in.
