“This will be only two weeks since we’ve been able to open any gardens following our formal relaunch at the beginning of June. It’s wonderful that Cambridgeshire has been able to make a start so quickly.”

The roses at Castor House, more than 40 varieties, will be at their best for the opening, and the garden, which was terraced and redesigned in 2010, boasts Italianate spring-fed ponds, exotic borders, a woodland garden and orchard.

Money raised through the opening will help fund the nursing and caring causes supported by the National Garden Scheme for more than 90 years.
