Publicans have gone to great lengths to make their beer gardens in the villages around the city as comfortable as possible for your visit.

Peterborough is set to sizzle in the summer sunshine – as temperatures are set to rise to 30C on Friday, which tops warmer climates than those forecast in Tenerife.
So, a spot down by the river at the Woolpack in Stanground and Queen’s Head at Nassington, or a pod at the Blue Bell in Werrington - there’s plenty of choice before the Friday scorcher arrives, with the mercury on the thermometer set to hit 30C at 4pm.

5. House of Feasts, Eye Green
The pub is closed on Monday and Tuesdays, opens Wednesday - Friday from 12 noon - 10pm. On Saturday lunch and dinner starts at noon with the pub open until midnight. On Sunday the pub opens at midday until 6pm.
6. Golden Pheasant at Etton
The pub is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and opens Wednesday - Saturday 12 noon onwards and Sunday 12 noon until 8pm.
7. The Crown Inn at Elton
The Crown Inn at Elton opens from Monday 3pm until 8pm, Tuesday – Thursday 12 noon until 10:30pm and Friday – Saturday 12 noon until 11pm, and Sunday 12 noon until 7pm.
8. The Bluebell in Helpston
The bar opens on Monday and Tuesday from 5pm until 10pm. Then, split shifts occur throughout the week. On Wednesday punters can drink from 12 noon until 3pm and 5pm until 10pm. On Thursday doors open between 12 noon until 3pm and 5pm until 10.30pm. On Friday opening times are 12 noon until 3pm and 7pm -10.30pm Saturday 12 until 10.30pm and Sunday 12 noon until 6pm.
