Peterborough pub landlady excited to be back after a ‘difficult year’
The marquee is up and Peterborough pub landlady Angela Hopkin is looking forward to welcoming customers back on Monday after a difficult year for hospitality.
The doors - to the garden at The Yard Of Ale in Woodston - will be open at noon on Monday with big screens set up for the weekend’s sport.
Later in the month live music will return with Carpark Rendezvous on April 23. and for the bank holiday weekend, Morning Glory on the Friday and Last Minute Brigade on the Sunday.
“We are so looking forward to welcoming everyone back to our covid-safe pub garden,” said Angela. “We are lucky that we have an outside space that we utilise as much as we possibly can. There are so many pubs that cannot open, so we count ourselves lucky.”
She added: “We hope people have the confidence to return to The Yard of Ale because we have worked hard to make it covid-friendly. The pub industry cannot survive another lockdown. It’s been a very difficult year in hospitality but it’s very exciting that we are finally opening again on Monday.”
