Peterborough businessman Neil Treliving, a director of city based ZT Logistics, has plans to open a “high end craft ale and wine/cocktail bar” in the Tamu dessert lounge premises on Cowgate.

He has applied to Peterborough City Council for a licence for the premises - to be called Blind Tiger - which would open in the morning as a coffee shop and cafe, with light food options, before switching to a bar after lunch.

In his application before the licensing authority, he says there are plans for table service outside the building on King Street, if consent is forthcoming.

He will also be selling rare craft beers from around the world for take out sales, sealed for consumption at home only, with the possibility of online sales too.

The licence covers 8am to 10pm, with the application calling for it to come into force from April 1.
