Coronavirus: More Peterborough restaurants adapt to survive with takeaways and deliveries

The Banyan Tree has become the latest Peterborough restaurant to rethink its takeaway and delivery options as the food and drink industry comes to terms with the effects of government advice on dealing with Coronavirus.

The Westgate venue remains open but its Little Red Chilli takeaway today begins operating at lunchtimes too, a measure which will also support the growing number of parents forced to stay at home.

The issue of dwindling numbers of bookings and visitors was first highlighted last week when Damian Wawrzyniak at the HOUSE OF FEASTS, Eye Green, announced he was closing the restaurant to solely concentrate on deliveries, thus safeguarding his business.

Others in and around the city have followed suit.
