The Green Backyard will deliver more classes and workshops with its 2016 learning programme, '˜Crafts And Conversations'.

The community growing project has, over the last six years, delivered hundreds of sessions on arts, crafts, gardening and confidence building to over 1,000 people from Peterborough and beyond.

Highlights this year include a garden design masterclass with RHS Gold winning garden designer Jeni Cairns, willow weaving with Green Backyard co-founder Renny Antonelli, poetry with the Peterborough Laureate, mosaics, painting mini canvases and vegan cookery.

All sessions take place at the Green Backyard in Oundle Road near the Posh ground.They place between May and July and participants must be 19 or older. Most sessions are free but booking is advisable as spaces are limited.

Community learning co-ordinator Keely Mills said: “I’ve been inspired by The Green Backyard and can’t wait to see others inspired by this space too.”
