Councillor John Holdich, Leader of Peterborough City Council, said: “Don’t turn up, but tune in to Peterborough’s virtual Christmas Light switch-on event. The Christmas lights are even more important this year to bring some festive cheer to Peterborough residents. We’re delighted we were able to still let people count down with us and enjoy watching the lights being switched-on in the comfort of their own homes.”

“As we are unable to host a large-scale event given the ongoing pandemic, it is going to be a scaled down 20-minute virtual event hosted online. Thank you to the participants for helping us bring some Christmas cheer to our residents and special thanks to our host Kev Lawrence, editor Chris Pallister and of course Santa.”
