Looking Back: ‘We do get proper snow in Peterborough’
With some weather forecasters predicting we might be in for another icy blast from the ‘beast from the east’ photographer Chris Porsz dipped into his archives to find some snowy shots from winters past.
I love the picture of a snowy Cathedral Square.
The young folk in the foreground look like they are having fun – I wonder if they still live in Peterborough?
The snow is well and truly coming down in the other Cathedral Square picture.
Chris asked: “Who was the man and what was in the box?”
The final picture show two woman pushing a pram in a very snowy Laxton Square.
All three photographs were taken in the 1980s.
If you have any information about anybody in the pictures contact Chris via his website www.chrisporsz.com or alternatively email me at [email protected]
Have you got any pictures of Peterborough people and places from the 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s?
If so, and you’d like to share them with Looking Back readers, send them to [email protected]
