In the wake of the Government’s controversial one per cent pay award to health staff Chris located some pictures of a previous dispute.
He said: “I have found these very topical images from 1982 and the campaign for better pay for nurses (12% claim then) and other NHS staff.
“The first picture shows a march from PDH through town.
“The other two images are of local nurses in London and at No 10 handing a 10,000-name petition from the public in Peterborough.
“You can see more images covering over 40 years in the local NHS in my book Just Be Kind which is available from my website.”
