Slimming World member from Peterborough reverses type 2 Diabetes after a decade with the condition
A Peterborough man has successfully reversed Type 2 diabetes after living with the condition for ten years, crediting his transformation to the Tuesday morning Slimming World group at Brookside Methodist Church and the unwavering support of his consultant, Debra.
Bryan was first diagnosed a decade ago and spent years believing medication would be a permanent part of his life.
But after joining Debra’s Slimming World group, he began learning how small, sustainable lifestyle changes could make a profound difference to his health.
With encouragement from Debra and fellow members, Bryan gradually adopted healthier eating habits, increased his daily activity, and stayed committed to the programme.
Over time, he lost weight, boosted his energy levels, and saw his blood sugar readings steadily improve.
Recent medical checks confirmed that Bryan’s levels have returned to a non‑diabetic range — and he no longer needs diabetes medication. He describes the moment as “a turning point I never thought I’d reach.”
