She said: ”I have seen first hand how this pandemic has affected almost everyone in the community, from newborn babies, working age adults and those who are elderly.

“Life as we knew it changed for everyone. Each day is a new experience and a learning curve.

“Our community based charity aims to empower vulnerable people and enable communities to evolve.”

By securing some funding from Peterborough city councillors Shazia Bashir and Mohammed Nadeem and raising funds herself, a defibrillator has been installed at the Ghousia Mosque in Gladstone Street.

Dr Haseeb has ‘no doubt’ the equipment will help residents in the area and will be organising digital and face to face training in the near future.

Her husband Dr Israr Razaq, who is a dentist, was unable to work throughout the pandemic, so upon hearing of the PPE appeal, he donated all of his stock to Thorpe Hall Hospice and another local charity.

The couple’s good deeds did not end there, they have also helped with supplying hot meals to rough sleepers across the city and have installed a hand washing facility at Peterborough Asylum and Refugee Community Association (PARCA) to enable users to practice good hygiene and reduce the spread of infections.
