I would like to give my thanks to: Dr Nair, Jenner Health, Whittlesey; Macmillan; Community Nurses / Care; Sue Ryder; Peterborough City Hospital; and anyone else who helped me take care of my wonderful husband, Joe.

We moved to the area at the very end of September, when Joe had lost his voice, and registered with Dr. Nair and had an immediate appointment.

Within two weeks we had an emergency appointment at Peterborough City Hospital, first Gastro, then ENT, then Oncology where it was found that Joe had lung cancer Stage 4 by December, for which there was no cure.

Joe decided he did not want to spend his remaining time in hospital as we had only been in our new home since 15th November!

All these wonderful people joined together to take care of not only Joe but myself and family 24 hours a day!

You have a wonderful system operating in this part of the country. I heard that someone is trying to stop this operating at weekends – we came home from hospital on a Saturday – I would have broken without their help that night right up until the end on January 21, so PLEASE leave these wonderful people to carry on doing a tremendous job while showing care, compassion and humanity at all times.

Once again myself and my family thank you all from the bottom of out hearts.
