Health practitioner visits Westminster
A Peterborough City Council Public Health practitioner was in Westminster on Tuesday for a special event.
Cheryl McGuire was nominated by city MP Stewart Jackson to attend the ‘Celebrating Public Health Excellence’ event at Portcullis House.
Cheryl is a public health practitioner for the council’s Healthy Lifestyles service and leads on the city’s Smokefree and Health Check programmes. She said: “I’m very passionate about my role at the council, but it is a real team effort to support local people to improve their health.”
