The Peterborough areas which have been worst affected during the COVID pandemic

The areas of Peterborough which have been worst affected by the COVID pandemic have been revealed.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) have revealed how many deaths related to coronavirus have occurred in each neighbourhood - and what percentage of all deaths COVID made up (between March 2020 and the end of February 2021).

The area with most COVID related deaths in Peterborough was Central Park, with 35 since the start of the pandemic, making up 25 per cent of all deaths.

The area with the highest percentage of deaths was in Bretton Park, where the 29 COVID related deaths made up 31 per cent of the 95 total deaths during the pandemic.

Six of the 22 areas of Peterborough saw COVID deaths make up at least 20 per cent of all deaths over the past 12 months.

The latest government data shows that two COVID related deaths (within 28 days of a positive test) have been recorded in the seven days up to and including March 17, and four have been recorded in March so far.
