The eight Peterborough neighbourhoods to see a rise in COVID cases - and the 14 to see a fall in the past week

Eight Peterborough neighbourhoods saw a rise in COVID cases in the past week, Government data reveals.

In the seven days up to March 11, the biggest rise in cases was seen in Fengate and Parnwell, which saw the number of positive tests increase by 12.

Millfield and Bourges Boulevard has the most cases and the highest rate per 100,000 people, with 38 positive tests and a rate of 378.1. However, the area did also see the biggest fall in cases - with 19 fewer than the previous week.

Two areas of he city - Eye and Thorney and Barnack, Wittering & Wansford, recorded two or fewer cases, and therefore rates, and the number of positive tests has not been released.

Overall, Peterborough saw 258 positive tests - 25 fewer than the previous week, and has a case rate of 127.6 - the 15th highest rate in the country.
