Dr Robin said: ““We have seen some great work throughout Peterborough in recent months to get messages across about how we can limit the spread of the virus. “Many people have changed their lives considerably to keep themselves and their loves one safe and to reduce positive cases.

“So not to undo the city’s hard work so far it is important that we continue to follow the advice, especially when socialising.

“This includes maintaining social distancing of 2m where possible – including when travelling home after 10pm, for example in taxi queues.

“It also includes wearing a face covering when entering and leaving a venue, such as pubs and restaurants, in public transport and taxis, as well as continuing to do so when you cannot keep 2m apart.

“It is still crucial to remember to keep your hands clean. Using hand sanitiser before and after entering a venue or shared vehicle, such as a taxi, can help reduce the spread of the virus.”
