As lockdown restrictions were eased, scores of people were able to visit pubs and restaurants for the first time in months on Saturday.
There were queues outside some venues as people waited for the first pint.
Last week emergency services including police and the ambulance service called for residents to be sensible and use common sense while enjoying the return of eating and drinking out.
Today a Cambridgeshire police spokesman said the weekend had passed off peacefully.
The spokesman said: “We can confirm the weekend went well and passed largely without incident.
“Officers on patrol were on hand to keep the public safe and remind people to stick to the social distancing guidelines.
“We would like to thank the communities of Cambridgeshire for enjoying themselves responsibly and encourage everyone to keep up the good work in the coming weeks.
“It’s really important that everyone takes personal responsibility for their actions to help prevent the spread of the virus and keep our communities safe from harm.”
