Peterborough director of public health urges people to continue following national guidelines in fight against coronavirus

As face coverings become compulsory for people using public transport from Monday, June 15, the message more than ever is to stay safe.

Dr Liz Robin, director of public health for Peterborough City Council, said: “We would urge people to continue to follow national guidance in order to stay safe and help control the virus.

“It is imperative to stay alert and follow the lockdown rules around social distancing and hygiene measures.

“We can all do our bit to help by staying alert and following the government’s guidelines. This means you must:

*stay at home as much as possible

*work from home if you can

*limit contact with other people

*keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)

*wash your hands regularly

*Do not leave home if you or anyone in your household has symptoms.”
