With many venues taking bookings only and placing barriers outside to ensure social distancing, pubs, bars and restaurants welcomed customers back for the first time in more than 100 days on Saturday.

Earlier today Cambridgeshire police praised residents’ behaviour over the weekend.Today Councillor Marco Cereste, cabinet member for street scene at Peterborough City Council said: “It wasn’t as busy as a normal weekend, but that’s to be expected. Understandably some people will want to wait to find out how everything went before venturing out. The most important thing is that everyone who went out enjoyed themselves and acted responsibly.
