Nearly one in five Peterborough adults have had both COVID vaccine doses

Figures released this afternoon show that nearly one in five Peterborough adults has now had both doses of a COVID vaccine.

According to NHS England data, a total of 34,399 people have now had both doses in the city - or 17.7 per cent of Peterborough people aged 16 and above.

A total of 88,003 people - or 45.3 per cent of the adult population in Peterborough - have now had at least one dose (figures up to April 25).

Today is the first time second dose figures for Peterborough have been released by the NHS in their weekly bulletin. Previously, second dose figures were only available for Cambridgeshire.

The statistics show that:

A total of 7,118 people aged 80 and over - 83.4 per cent have had both doses, with 92.8 per cent (7,915) having had at least one dose.

A total of 4,962 people aged between 75 and 79 have had both doses - 84.3 per cent - while 5,502 have had one dose (93.6 per cent)

A total of 6,431 people aged between 70 and 74 have had both doses (75.4 per cent) while 7,746 people (90.8 per cent) have had at least one dose.

A total of 2,681 people aged between 65 and 69 have had both doses (28.6 per cent) while 8,031 people (85.6 per cent) have had at least one dose.

A total of 2,154 people aged between 60 and 64 have had both doses (18.7 per cent) while 9,471 people (82.1 per cent) have had at least one dose.

A total of 2,026 people aged between 55 and 59 have had both doses (14.6 per cent) while 10,994 people (79.3 per cent) have had at least one dose.

A total of 1,879 people aged between 50 and 54 have had both doses (12.1 per cent) while 11,666 people (75.4 per cent) have had at least one dose.

A total of 7,148 people aged under 50 have had both doses (5.9 per cent) while 26,678 people (22.1 per cent) have had at least one dose.
