Coronavirus: Two more patients die at hospitals run by Peterborough hospital trust

Two more coronavirus patients have died at hospitals run by the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust it has been announced.

Overall, 125 Covid-19 patients have died at either Peterborough City Hospital or Hinchingbrooke Hospital, according to NHS England.

Across the UK, a total of 28,446 people had died in hospitals, care homes and the wider community after testing positive for coronavirus in the UK as of 5pm on Saturday, the Department of Health said, up by 315 from 28,131 the day before.

A further six people in Peterborough have also tested positive for the virus, bringing the total to 257.

The figure is 795 in Cambridgeshire, 870 in Lincolnshire and 1,056 in Northamptonshire.
