The 13 Peterborough neighbourhoods with a COVID rate of more than 200

More than half the neighbourhoods in Peterborough have a COVID rate of more than 200 per 100,000, new figures reveal.

Of the 22 areas of the city, 13 have a rate of more than 200.

Of those 13, eight have a rate of more than 300 - and two have a rate of more than 500.

Longthorpe and Netherton has the highest rate with 565.9 cases per 100,000 population, with Peterborough Central second with 505.2.

Millfield and Bourges Boulevard has a rate of 417.9.

The lowest rate is in Glinton, Northborough and Maxey, with 121.4. Eye and Thorney has a rate slightly higher with 121.7.

Of the 22 neighbourhoods, 19 have seen a rise in the numbernumber of positivepositive tests in the past seven days (week ending December 10).

The only areas to see a fall are Bretton Park, Hargate and Orton Longueville, and West Town and Woodston.

The biggest rise was in Peterborough Central and Millfield and Bourges Boulevard, who both saw an increase of 20 cases.

The area with the highest number of cases is Peterborough Central with 63. Millfield and Bourges Boulevard is second with 42, and Longthorpe and Netherton is third with 41.

The areas with the fewest positive cases are Glinton, Northborough and Maxey with seven, Eye and Thorney with eight and Barnack, Wittering & Wansford with 11.

Overall Peterborough has a rate of 262.5, with 531 new cases in the past seven days - up by 137.
