House of Feasts in Eye Green is one of a number of places to be affected by the spread of COVID-19 with chef Damian Wawrzyniak revealing on Twitter that he has no diners booked in for tonight (Thursday) after the last three cancelled.

Damian has been a vocal critic of customers who cancel at the last minute and acknowledged the problem is not just linked to the coronavirus, but he said the Polish cuisine will now be offered out as a takeaway in response to the pandemic.

He tweeted: “During these hard times we are changing style a bit!”

And in just an hour after making the announcement on social media he said he had already received 60 orders.

Deliveries are of pierogi, leg of duck and sourdough bread within a five mile radius.

Orders can be made by visiting the restaurant’s Facebook page or emailing reservations@houseoffeasts.co.uk.
