Little Stars Day Nursery in Peterborough was inspected on March 11, just before coronavirus lockdown and given the clean bill of health, having also been graded outstanding at the previous inspection in 2013.

The team showed the inspector every aspect of the fun packed days and how the children’s learning is supported through the understanding of their interests, care, and needs.

The nursery was given the top rating in all aspects in which it was inspected. The inspector highlighted in the report that, “building bonds with family and children is at the center of everything the nursery does. Children make significant progress from their starting points, many of which are much lower when compared to others of the same age.

Parents unanimously recognise the huge contribution that staff make to this progress. The provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is exemplary.”

She added: “The leadership and management of the nursery is inspirational. Staff comment that it is an ‘amazing’ place to work.”

Nursery manager Ashley Bereznyckyj is extremely happy with the outcome and commented: “Our passion in promoting the children’s independence, confidence and well-being was recognized, not only in the children’s engagement, but also in the progress that they make with us. I am so proud of what we have achieved together as a team.”
