Extra university places available to study nursing in Peterborough

Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) has been allocated an extra 250 places by the Government for students studying a range of course, including Nursing in Peterborough, through the clearing process.

People getting their A-Level grades on Thursday are being urged to take their time and pick the best option for them. Although ARU’s campuses are currently closed to visitors due to the global pandemic, advisors will be manning socially-distanced clearing call centres in Cambridge and Chelmsford during Clearing, which officially began on 1 July but is busiest on the 13 August and the following days.

Professor Aletta Norval, Deputy Vice Chancellor at ARU, said: “We’re delighted to have been allocated extra student places for some of our health courses, meaning we can make an even bigger contribution to addressing the healthcare needs of the region and beyond.

“People apply through Clearing for a number of reasons, they may have made a late decision to come to university, or they may have decided not to go through UCAS. They may have changed their mind about what they want to study.

“What is clear is that there are options to suit everyone, and ARU staff are available to speak about what might be the best way forward for you.”
