A Levels: Outstanding results for Sir Harry Smith Community College students

There were outstanding results for pupils at Sir Harry Smith Community College in Whittlesey.

There were plenty of smiles at the school today as teenagers picked up their results.

Tim Smith, head of the sixth form, said: “I would like to congratulate our students on the results that they have been awarded this year, given the unique situation for students that were due to take exams this summer.

“Despite a difficult year, we are delighted to share a number of good news stories and outstanding outcomes for our students.

“We have three students who have gained a place at University of Oxford. Congratulations to Kayla Rowden who will be reading Biochemistry, Daniel Dipper who will be reading History and Politics and Rosie Wiles who will be reading History.

“Congratulations also to Michael Teague who will be attending Bath to read Politics and History, Oliver Johnstone who will be attending York to read Computer Science and Andrew Wells who will be reading Biochemistry at Bristol.

“We would also like to congratulate Sam Missin, who following his representation for England at the last Touch Rugby World Cup in Malaysia, will be attending St Mary’s University, Twickenham, and Drew Greenhalgh who will be attending Glasgow City College to complete an HND in Nautical Science leading to a cadetship for the Merchant Navy.

“I would also like to thank all of our staff for their continued and unwavering hard work and commitment during these challenging times.”
