Lovely afternoon spent by residents of Werrington Lodge at the Raptor Foundation

It was a lovely afternoon, and the sun was shining brightly. We decided to take some of our wonderful residents out for a change of scenery. Our destination was the Raptor Foundation near Huntingdon, a place we had heard great things about.

The visit was well worth it. We strolled through the well-maintained gardens, where our residents thoroughly enjoyed searching for the cleverly camouflaged birds of prey in their pens. The experience was both exciting and educational. After our walk, we took a break at the on-site café, where everyone savored a refreshing ice lolly while relaxing in the pleasant surroundings.

The highlight of our trip was the impressive bird demonstration. We watched in awe as the birds were put through their paces, showcasing their feeding tricks and participating in a breathtaking flying display. Throughout the show, we learned fascinating facts about these magnificent creatures, their habitats, and conservation efforts.

As the afternoon drew to a close, we headed back home, our residents chatting excitedly about their favorite moments from the day. Everyone arrived back just in time for tea, feeling refreshed and looking forward to their next adventure.
