Huntingdon care home hosts free 'living well with hearing loss' seminar

Bayleaf Care Home, in Huntingdon has teamed up with Cambridgeshire Deaf Association and will be inviting members of the local community to a seminar discussing Living Well With Hearing Loss.
Taking place on Thursday, January 22 at 2pm, guests will have a chance to discuss hearing loss, deaf awareness, practical coping strategies, and the importance of keeping hearing aids well maintained, as well as talking through the services of Cambridgeshire Deaf Association and how they can support individuals and their family or friends.
General Manager Katie Wilkinson said: “We’re really looking forward to having Cambridgeshire Deaf Association come in for the session. This is so relevant not just for our residents but also their families and the wider community that may be living with hearing loss without knowing the levels of support that is available for them.
"Here at Bayleaf Care Home we are always looking at new ways that we can provide support and advice about care to anyone who needs it. If anyone is unable to make it on the day but would like to pop in for a tour and a cup of tea, our doors are always open.”
