Workers face redundancy at Peterborough Silver Spoon Sugar offices as firm moves roles to Liverpool
A number of redundancies could be made at the Peterborough Silver Spoon Sugar offices, as some work is transferred away from the city.
The firm, which employs 115 people at their offices in Lynch Wood, Peterborough confirmed seven jobs are being relocated to The North West.
A spokeswoman for the firm said it was hoped alternative roles could be found.
The spokeswoman said; “We can confirm that as a result of some changes to the way we manage finance administration, we will be transferring some work over to a different office based in Liverpool. As a result 7 roles in our Peterborough Head Office (3 full time and 4 part time) are unfortunately impacted from our workforce at the Peterborough site of 115.
“We understand this is unsettling for all those affected and are working with them to explore redeployment opportunities within Silver Spoon and our wider group to avoid redundancies wherever possible.”
