Staff at Peterborough bank bowl over charity

Staff at a bank in Peterborough were on target during a charity event that raised thousands for charity.

Joanna Lawrence of Handelsbanken presents a cheque for £3,000 to Mia Guthrie of Barnardo's.

Employees from Handelsbanken, in Commerce Road, Lynch Wood, took part in its annual charity bowling evening.

The event raised £3,000 for the local Barnardo’s charity.

Forty teams competed for the team trophy which was this year won by Peterborough-based vegetable grower and supplier Produce World.

The award for individual bowler was won by Andrew Heeler of Hegarty Solicitors in Peterborough.

Julian Turner, manager, said: “This event is incredibly popular with over 120 local business professionals taking part in a fun night whilst raising a significant sum for Barnardo’s.

“I am very grateful to the Peterborough business community for their support and generosity.”
