Relocation for staff at Peterborough travel store

A travel branch located in the Beales store in Peterborough has moved to a new home.

The Central England Co-operative Travel has reopened in the Central England Co-op Food Store, in Ortongate Shopping Centre, in Orton.

The relocation comes after administrators announced the Beales store, in Westgate, had been earmarked for closure after the national retailer’s collapse.

Cheryl Cipriano, of Peterborough, who has been branch manager at the Society’s travel branch for 24 years, said: “We’re looking forward to working alongside our food retail colleagues at our new home. We look forward to welcoming customers old and new and would encourage locals to drop in and see how we can help them with their holiday needs.”

Diana Whitewell is Assistant Branch Manager and has worked in the industry for 22 years in total, working in the Peterborough branch for the last 10 years.

Her specialist areas include Australia having put many itineraries together from scratch, as well as rural Spain and cruises.

Senior Travel Consultant Amy Richardson has worked in travel for 12 years and spent the last eight at the Peterborough branch.

She specialises in long-haul destinations due to spending three years working in a specialist long haul, tailor-made department prior to joining Central England Co-op.

Completing the team is Travel Consultant Sarah Britton, who has been in travel for 17 years since joining as a Saturday worker while studying Travel & Tourism at Peterborough Regional College.

She specialises in Dubai having visited many times and thoroughly enjoys putting together detailed itineraries for young families.
