Regional commercial agents secured top award for third year running

Commercial property experts Barker Storey Matthews have been crowned Most Active Regional Agent in the East of England for the third consecutive year.

The firm, which has offices in Peterborough, Huntingdon, Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds, secured the title for the volume of deals concluded in the industrial, office, retail, investment and leisure/hotels sector.

The awards are held by EGi and for the East of England region includes any deals completed in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk, with all agents, including national firms, taking part.

Mr Hawkins said: “We have an excellent team of chartered surveyors and property experts who have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the region.

“This coupled with our longstanding positioning in the marketplace and relationships with both local and national developers, occupiers and investors has been paramount to our sustained success.”

Barker Storey Matthews has been top of the most active agent’s leaderboard in the East of England for several years now and 2015 saw strong performances in the office and, in particular, industrial sector. According to EGi Barker Storey Matthews had “market-leading performances in offices and – in particular – industrial, where it outscored its nearest competitor by almost three to one”.
