The new contractor appointed to build the £32million King’s Dyke transport scheme is looking to hire workers from Peterborough.

Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK is looking for site agents, sub agents, senior project engineers and a project public liaison officer.

Cambridgeshire County Council King’s Dyke project involves constructing a new road and bridge over the Ely to Peterborough railway line crossing on the A605 near Whittlesey.

The level crossing will subsequently be removed as part of the programme.

Established in the 1950s, Jones Bros runs an award-winning apprenticeship scheme, which has produced more than 40 per cent of its current workforce, with many of its senior managers having started out as apprentices or in a trainee role.
