Hide AdBosses say the land purchase is in addition to the group’s current £1.3m investment in office accommodation and recent £2 million investment in seed cleaning, treating and storage.
Managing director of Dalton Seeds, Peter Fox said: “The business needs to ensure it constantly looks to the future and has the capacity to service current and upcoming demand.
“This purchase ensures we have the land available for further expansion, be that in seed processing, storage or other strands to the business.”
The group’s annual turnover is about £80 million and net assets are £6 million plus.
