Discount retailer moves into vacant premises in Whittlesey
A budget retailer has moved into vacant premises in Whittlesey.
The health, home and beauty discount brand, Savers has opened a new store in High Causeway.
The 2.148 sq ft double fronted, ground floor shop covers units 1 and 2 The Causeway Centre in the town centre and was previously occupied by national grocery chain, Heron Foods, which relocated to new premises on High Causeway earlier this year.
The new lease agreement was overseen by Peterborough-based commercial agents Barker Storey Matthews (BSM) who acted for Heron Foods in the assignment of its lease.
Simon Burton, director at BSM, said: “The Causeway Centre is a popular town centre location, and with a good footfall, we were confident of finding a replacement occupier in a position to take over the lease.
“It’s a boost to Whittlesey’s retail profile that it has attracted a national retailer to the town.”
