Allison Homes celebrates win at Peterborough Apprenticeship Awards

Allison Homes is celebrating after being named winner of the SME Employer Award at last night’s prestigious Peterborough Apprenticeship Awards, held at the Holiday Inn, Peterborough West.
The awards evening, organised by the Peterborough Telegraph and sponsored by Inspire Education Group (IEG), brought together leading businesses, training providers and apprentices from across the region to recognise achievement and celebrate the positive impact of apprenticeship schemes. Guests enjoyed a drinks reception followed by dinner, before the awards ceremony took place, hosted by Kev Lawrence of Peterborough City Radio (PCR FM).
Representing Allison Homes on the night were a team from across the East Region, including Andy Richards (Production Director), Michele Raucci, Simon Fraser, Kirsty Embleton, Isabelle Impey, Paul Vasey (recently named ‘National Site Manager of The Year’ by LABC Warranty) Stephanie Dunbar, Declan Rust, Ben Gallacher, and apprentice Lauren Bartle, who has progressed into an Assistant Infrastructure Engineer role with the business.
In addition to celebrating success, Allison Homes were proud sponsors of the ‘Large Employer of the Year Award’, presenting this important category that recognises outstanding apprenticeship programmes within larger businesses.

The accolade reflects Allison Homes’ commitment to apprenticeships, which sit at the heart of its mission to nurture future talent and address the skills gap in the construction industry.
Central to this commitment is the company’s partnership with Inspire Education Group (IEG), led by Chief Executive Rachel Nicholls. Together, they have developed tailored pathways, giving apprentices hands-on experience on Allison Homes’ developments with the latest tools and techniques while linking learning directly to industry needs supplied by IEG.
Allison Homes recently welcomed six new apprentices at their apprenticeship induction day this month, who are now beginning their careers in bricklaying and carpentry across the business, further strengthening the company’s commitment to nurturing skilled talent for the construction industry.
Speaking after the award win, Andy Richards, East Region Production Director at Allison Homes, said: "We are thrilled to receive this recognition. Apprentices bring fresh ideas, energy and ambition to our sites, and we’re proud to give them not just the technical skills but also the confidence and support to build their careers. This award is a testament to the investment we make, right across our business, to ensure that apprenticeships are central to our culture and our future."
By joining fellow employers at the awards and through its strong partnership with the region’s education providers, Allison Homes showed how central apprenticeships are to its approach and to the future of construction.
